The magnificent Lake Court House stands as one of Indiana’s finest examples of Victorian architecture, proudly anchoring the heart of Crown Point Square. Built in 1878, this iconic structure once served as the center of county government and continues today as a beloved symbol of local heritage.

When the building was vacated in 1974, its future was uncertain—until a dedicated group of citizens formed the Lake Court House Foundation. Thanks to their vision and determination, the courthouse was saved from demolition and restored as a lasting tribute to our shared history.
